A clearer way to manage renewals

The important details, without the spreadsheet chase.

ContractorLicenseAlert is designed to make renewal tracking straightforward: keep the record, understand the deadline, and know who needs to act.

One central dashboard

Review upcoming, due-soon, and overdue items without searching across folders and spreadsheets.

Dates read from your documents

Upload a license or other document and its expiration date is read for you. You review it before it saves.

Renewal reminders

Emails go out on a set schedule before each renewal date, and follow-ups continue if the date passes.

Easy-to-read status

Use clear overdue, due-soon, and on-track states to decide what needs attention first.

Renewal history

Mark an item renewed, set up its next cycle, and retain a record of previous renewal activity.

Shared team ownership

Keep renewal responsibilities visible and provide a shared place for teammates to work from.

TWO WAYS TO USE IT

For the contractor, and for the business that hires them.

Whether you hold the licenses yourself or keep track of a whole crew and their subcontractors, it is the same workspace.

From document to deadline

Three steps to a more organized renewal process.

The goal is simple: record the right date, confirm it, and make the next action visible.

  1. Add a license or document

Enter the details manually or upload a license, permit, or other supported record.

  2. Review the expiration date

Document extraction can suggest a date. Confirm it against the original before saving.

  3. Track the deadline

See the countdown, get email reminders, and mark the item renewed when the cycle is complete.

You stay in control of the date. Extraction is an assist, not a guarantee. If a document is unclear or contains multiple dates, review it and enter the correct expiration date manually.

A few useful details

Questions, answered.

What the product does for you, and where your own review still matters.

Does it automatically detect every expiration date?

No. Document-assisted extraction can identify candidate dates from supported files, but document quality and layout vary. Review the candidate date against the original document before saving it.

Will it verify my license with a government authority?

No. Tracking an expiration date is not the same as official license verification. ContractorLicenseAlert does not connect to licensing authorities or certify that a license is active.

How do reminders work?

Reminder emails go out 90, 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before the date you need to start renewing. If that date passes, follow-ups continue on the day and 3, 7 and 14 days after. You can change the schedule for any license and add people outside your account.

Can I keep history when a license is renewed?

Yes. Mark an item renewed and it moves to its next cycle — using its renewal term, or a date you enter — while previous renewals stay in its history.

Can I bring in the spreadsheet I already keep?

Yes. Upload an Excel or CSV file of up to 2,000 rows at a time, within Pro’s 1,000-license limit. Your column headings are matched for you, you can correct any match, fix bad rows and decide what happens to licenses you already have, and nothing is saved until you confirm.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new workspace gets 7 days of everything Pro has — no card needed. After that it’s $39 a month, or $390 a year, to keep using it; nothing is deleted if you decide not to.
